There are two main types of T strainers: Basket tee strainers and Basket simplex strainers.
Basket tee strainers can be mounted both horizontally and vertically and can be made of perforated sheet metal or metal mesh (or both) in stainless steel or other materials. Simplex basket strainers are vertically mounted filters consisting of an internal basket of perforated sheet metal or metal mesh (or both) with manual cleaning and a welded body in stainless steel or carbon steel. Access to the basket is facilitated by the upper lid, which allows for a quick and easy maintenance with reduced downtime. The pressure drop is very low, thanks to their generous dimensions.
